I have been dancing ever since I can remember...that
was my joy...that was my passion. And to this day the dance is what
brings me back to my essential self, to my ecstasy!
I have been studying ecstatic dance since 1998,
when I was given the book, Sweat Your Prayers by Gabrielle Roth.
I had just finished my training as a modern dancer at Main
Dance (Vancouver, BC) - it was a time of both physical and spiritual
illness for me - and the words of this dance shaman reminded me
of my true purpose. It has been a healing journey since then, and
I have studyed the 5 Rhythms(tm) in Vancouver with Jonathan
Horan and Lucia Rose Horan, with Kathy
Altman in Mill Valley at the Moving
Center School, and in Nelson with Maryanne
Wood. In May 2005 I traveled to Australia to study with
Antara, creator of Kundalini
Dance and I am now a certified Kundalini Dance Facilitor.
I
have been facilitating Transformational Ecstatic Dance workshops and classes since 1998. Currently I have been traveling around BC and
the west coast facilitating transformation dance workshops and classes
at festivals and gatherings such as the
Oracle Gatherings, Invision
, Shambhala,
Dancing
Dragons Festival, Earthdance,
Diversity, and many more.
I also hold weekly classes of Kundalini Dance
in Vancouver and on the Sunshine Coast - and have led weekend workshops
in Calgary, Portland, Edmonton, Vancouver and Los Angeles.
It is my passion to awaken the priest or priestess
of ecstasy within everyone I meet!!
I would love to hear from you
so please contact
me if you have any questions or comments, or are interested
in booking an Ekstasis
Workshop in your area.

Paola
Paola started her journey with electronic music
when she was 15 years old and decided she had to learn how to spin.
In 1996 (a year later) she met Jerga, who finally gave her the tools
to start DJing. He also introduced her to sacred geometry and and
connected her to the moontribe collective in Los Angeles, which
became a great source of inspiration. She eventually had the honor
of meeting Luna who connected her with the idea of using dance as
a road to ecstacy and gave her a new perspective on the different
rythms that awaken different emotions and parts of ourselves. She
is now devoted to kundalini dance and is very excited to perform
the music necessary to travel through the chackras and un leash
the dancer spirit in all of us.

"Your class was a vital and essential part of my recent spiritual
awakening. It was a beautiful and vibrant way to connect the inner
worlds I had seen only in quiet meditation to the outer worlds of
form, expression, and body. Having taken that journey with you,
I am more aware of the spiritual electricity in my life, more grounded
in the moment and in the body, and more at peace with my essential
self. All of life now seems an extension of the dance. "
